Ancient Abyss is a 2D Zelda-like action game where you will explore mysterious and hidden events in a randomly generated maze. As you progress, you’ll gain more power and collect items to help you reach further into the maze. We are just a group of former Gloomhaven players and creators, as well as guests of the current team, who are looking to bring back the experience of the old school board game.

The game is set in the mysterious, all-powerful forests of Northrend. Some of the most iconic monsters of Warcraft are featured, along with the most fearsome fighting forces of Azeroth, including a few of its heroes.

The game has its own campaign featuring over 50 foes, more than 50 quests, and over 50 locations to explore. Players will enjoy combat and exploration in a thoroughly dark fantasy setting, complete with minigames to provide for a diversion and lend the game some lighthearted moments. With five or more players, the game will require you to band together to fight giant spiders, dragons and wyverns!
