Ask you friends and family for advice. Your neighbors, friends and family probably all have vehicles and need the services of a skilled mechanic. Therefore, asking their advice is probably a wise thing to do. This is especially true if you are new in the area. Keep in mind that no one is perfect. In other words, if you find a mechanic that everyone but one of your friends raves about, you may want to consider that mechanic.

Many auto parts stores have periodic sales. Check your mailing circulars and the newspaper for advertised discounted auto parts. If there is a particular part you are searching for call different car parts dealers and ask when they will go on sale.

No matter what ever part you are searching for at low price, many retail stores of auto parts are offering the parts at discounted rates. Most common of these parts are steering rack, belts, brake pads, AC compressor, water pump, catalytic converters, tail light, hoses, water blades, headlights, starter, condenser, muffler, etc.

I know your pain. I was there myself, having operated my own accessories make. You spend what seems like a small fortune in advertising and then ‘hope’. I call that ‘hope marketing’ because that’s all you do. Pay the advertising bill and then hope that you’re going to ‘maybe’ get your money back on that ad. If you’re lucky and you get 2 responses, just divide the cost of the ad in half and that’s what each one of those new customers just cost you. You can’t keep doing that or you’ll go broke!

But doing these tasks is time-consuming. If you don’t have the time and specialized tools, then you can just let a qualified car mechanic to do the job. Nowadays, you can just call a mobile mechanic to have your car service done at home.

Are they members of national auto repair organizations? Again, membership in well-respected associations indicates a mechanic’s commitment to the industry. It also shows that they are interested in improving their skill, service and process.
