People who ignore things like routine oil changes because they are too busy are very foolish. Dirty motor oil wears out an engine very quickly and failure to keep it clean may very likely void your warranty.
The first thing you should do before buying holiday rentals is checking the size. You can find this information from the driver’s side door panel or look for it from the owner’s manual. If by chance the suggested size from the manufacturer doesn’t match the current size of your tire, opt for second-hand tires which match the current size.
Tip No.4: Buying plus sized tires. A lot of people like buying ‘plus sized tires’ as they enhance the looks of a vehicle and also improve handling. One should only buy tires and wheels approved for use on your car’s model. The replacement should also be able to bear the same load capacity as the original. The new wheel/tire combo must be within (+/-) 3 percent of the original tire diameter.
I recommend you keep a log of your maintenance. It will help you do it regularly and that will prolong the life of your car. And it also looks good when it comes time to sell the car.
If buying a secondhand tire it is prudent to ask if there are any obvious repairs that have been done to the tire. Although if a repair has been done properly there should be no issues if there are any problems with the repair moisture and air could have seeped into the casing of the tire which could potentially cause issues further down the track. No repairs is great!
We looked at the cost of tires many times and that just the though of the cost put us off from doing anything about it, until Galia spotted some very cheap tires in a supermarket 70 lev each.
Back in October of 2011, I needed new tires. I have a 2000 Acura TL, a great car. A car I have had to put so little money into that I recommend Acura’s to anyone who will listen. I love this car! As of October 2011, I had 167,000 miles on the car. I had only gone through 3 sets of tires in that time.
