About the developer:

Hunt Planet Bug was created by a small indie team (4 people) and is the result of a long, painful process to bring a mobile game to life.

Everything we did, we did for love. It started as a joke among friends and now it is our love that will take us until the end.

This is our story.

Hunt Planet Bug was initially developed as a casual game.

This way of developing was good because it allowed us to put a lot of work on the game and be proud of it, but the challenge was to find players for this type of game.

And that’s when we knew it was time to change strategy.

We were looking for a publisher and we wanted to do this in a really professional way. Also, we wanted a higher budget.

We wanted to do something really big and something that would be in good and high quality. That’s when we saw the LOVE game, and we decided to make it with the same approach.

Hunt Planet Bug was created as a serious game, with a story that would challenge players to explore and reach the goals and also, try to do the impossible.

We didn’t think about the casual market anymore, and we focused on delivering a great experience to the players.

Everything has been done for the players

Hunt Planet Bug is designed for players and it’s not for anyone.

The fun comes from the risk we are asking of the players.

By risking their lives, they will be in a world that is totally different from the everyday world.

People are never bored in Hunt Planet Bug.

Players are always looking for rewards and once they find them, they will feel great.

Hunt Planet Bug is a game that is simple and easy to understand, but it is also hard to master.

It’s the creation of an original and fun gameplay, which is different from the usual game.

Hunt Planet Bug is an experience that you will never forget.

A lot of changes were made to the game based on the reception of previous versions.

We redesigned the story and the characters, the music and the soundtrack.

Hunt Planet Bug features 5 different territories and each one has its own set of levels, enemies and secrets.

Mercury Rising is a first-person platformer that emphasizes action and a quick pace. It retains the elements of classic first person games while still keeping the elements of the new second person games on the scene. It does this by maintaining the previously discussed action focus on action-oriented platforming while also keeping a keen eye on the player’s weapon-hand. All of this is focused by an entertaining game design that demands constant accuracy and player input. The first person perspective makes it feel even more like a first person game, but the gameplay lends itself to 2D, 3D environments. The platforming is a simple setup with basic jumping and movement and relies on weapons and death in place of vertical movement. Combat takes place while moving and players have to be creative to exploit all of the tools given to them. This game makes high use of environment to further complicate combat and give the game a good amount of replayability. What’s the aim of this game, which I’d played on the trial version, was to find enough items to complete a lift and get your man back. Eventually you’ll gather items from all over the building (though if you stand on a certain floor, you won’t have to go all over). Time, which can be seen on the little watch, will allow you to make it to the 5th floor, where the lift is located.
Gameplay:
Yeah, it was sort of like a cross between Hotel California, which needs additional elements to qualify as an FPS, and The House of the Dead, which manages to get away with the bare minimum. The game uses a series of fourth-wall breaking events that remind you the player is playing a game. For example, when Shawn is in the vehicle, he will occasionally comment about the hostile environment, about how he feels like he’s going to be attacked, and about how the vehicle is very dangerous. At the same time, the player knows that he is actually in a game in a building that’s devoted to showcasing video games. (When Shawn is being chased by the killer, he will comment on how he’s attracted to «bad girls with tattoos and piercings.» Not only is this pushy, but it’s also inane because a killer who kills people in game isn’t going to be attracted to prostitutes.) The protagonist might also comment about looking around, wondering why he would be in a building playing games, for example, or about being kidnapped and shot in the back.
Character?:
A funny thing about Shawn. He’s got a high-functioning sociopath for a personality, but is somehow able to fit himself into a relationship with a woman. He doesn’t bother to ask questions, and clearly doesn’t learn or grow. Still, he doesn’t express anger, and he is generally kind to people, even if he doesn’t help anybody. He has a bit of a harem of women at his various homes.
Graphics and Sound:
It’s a pretty good looking game, especially for a game engine. The models are all pretty good quality, and the lighting is good. The actors in the game do a good job, though at points they’ll do some cringe worthy things.
It’s a slow game, but it’s good kind of slow. You wait for some action, and you’ll see some
