Roadmasters shared GM’s C-physique platform, riding a 126-in. wheelbase and measuring 214.125 in. general. They were powered by Buick’s largest valve-in-head straight eight, a 320.2-cubic-inch unit that cranked out 150 bhp on a 6.9:1 compression ratio. Full wheel trim discs and fender skirts added a contact of elegance to an already classy line of vehicles.

Interestingly, squealing brakes should not necessarily an indication of a problem. Brakes squeal and squeak for a large number of reasons, together with moisture on the brake pads, discs, footwear and drums. You should only turn into involved if the squealing becomes a scraping or grinding noise. That is a sign of metal-to-metal contact, which may permanently injury brake parts.
