the book is in print for $24.95 and is available for preorder at amazon. the carpenters are widely regarded as one of the best-selling musical acts of all time, with more than 100 million albums sold. their legacy will endure, and this book is a great way to learn more about the carpenters.
the full set of 2012 studio album artwork are now available for download. within this set you’ll find all the albums from the 2012 studio session. as you may have noticed, this set does not include any albums from the 2011-2012 box set. those albums will be added to this set once i have the album artwork. for now, you can browse the 2012 album artwork in high resolution on the site. a couple of them are below.
it’s been a while since i’ve had the pleasure of uploading the new updated box set of the carpenters’ recordings. thanks to the fine people at a&m records i’m happy to say that version 23 of the box set is now available. this box set contains all of the carpenters’ studio albums released on columbia, atlantic, and reprise records from 1962 to 1973. sixteen of the albums were reissued in 2012 along with the new cd release of the 1974 the carpenters album. five additional albums were released on cd in 2012 (1977’s journey, 1982’s blessings, 1987’s century, and 1990’s chain reaction). last, but not least, the four carpenters’ live albums from 1972, 1973, 1975, and 1976 were reissued on cd in 2012 (see above for details). chain reaction also received a complete reissue, which features bonus tracks, previously unreleased alternate takes, and additional mixes of the entire album.
