Dion debuted in Singapore on April 5, 2003, where she performed a total of 11 concerts in five different venues.[17] Along with other concert performances throughout her career, Dion announced the booking of her first «Days of Our Lives» to be held in New York between November 18 and 25, 2003, with a performance at Radio City Music Hall marking the finale.[18] Dion announced in late September 2005 that she would take a break from singing for two years and would focus on songwriting and recording her fourth English album. She explained that she wanted to make the best album of her career.[18] Dion performed during her last appearance for three days at the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 9 and 10, 2007. On December 9, she performed a four hour show, with two encores.[citation needed] Dion sold out her final show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on December 15, 2007 at 8 p.m. PST, making it the last show on this tour and the last show she would perform at the Colosseum. It was also her first time performing in the Caesar’s Palace’s Colosseum.[citation needed]
On November 16, 2008, Dion released a new DVD, titled Celine Dion: Encore: The Farewell Tour, which contains new unreleased songs from her tours.[19] It includes a two-hour concert, which contains songs from her Encore: Un rendez-vous…, Vol. 2 and Taking Chances World Tour: The Concert videos, and nine new songs. The DVD debuted at number three on the Billboard Top Music Video Chart in the Metal/Hard Music DVD & Blu-Ray chart.[20] Celine Dion: Encore: The Farewell Tour sold a total of 276,779 copies in its first week.[21] In Canada, the DVD debuted at number five on the Nielsen SoundScan’s Music Video Chart,[5][22] and at number four on the Canadian Music Video Chart, following Celine Dion: Through the Eyes of the World and coinciding with Dion’s Lipstick»Music World Tour (2011).[23]
