This is a game where you take control of a bear. Your bear has some special ability, such as climbing or jumping. You have to explore the plains to find other characters, gather ingredients, and solve puzzles.
Big Bears Bad Advice is a side-scroller, with 8 stages. Use the arrow keys to move your bear through the plains, and the space bar to jump. Press the Z key to open the map in the upper-right corner, and then press X to use it. Pressing the arrow keys lets you look at the items around you. Pressing the number keys will bring up an inventory screen, where you can collect items.
You’re also able to dig up resources at each of the six areas you visit throughout the game:

Area 1: Dig a lot of ores out of the ground here.
Area 2: Dig a lot of fish out of the pond.
Area 3: Dig a lot of herbs out of the ground.
Area 4: Dig a lot of gold out of the ground.
Area 5: Dig a lot of sticks out of the ground here.
Area 6: Dig a lot of netherite out of the ground here.

Note: the map shown above shows the first area, the only area that makes sense to visit first. You can choose between visiting all of them, or just exploring randomly. Your bear will be unable to cross the wall (see the «Crossing the Wall» section below).
When you’ve digged enough of an item, you can sell it to a vendor (in the green house) to get some gold. Click on the vendors to see them.
Unlike other Final Fantasy games, you don’t have to level up your bear to improve its attributes. If you get into a battle, your bear will only use its current attributes.

Bugs and other quirks:
If you’re not going to complete the game, don’t worry about these. If you really can’t be bothered to play, why not try something else?
– If a bear dies, you lose all your gold.
– If you get hit by a monster, you lose all your gold.
– If you die on a level in which you didn’t finish, the game ends.
There is a time limit for each level. You can collect ingredients, find items, etc., but you can only do so before the time runs out.

The Antidote has an interesting setup that will appeal to fans of more specific point & click games with a detective story. A man called Kramer (voiced by Martin Freeman) is driving on a lonely road and suddenly the road becomes not very straight, until suddenly he encounters a cliff, and out of nowhere, a car stops in front of him, a beautiful blonde gets out and tells him that he’s not welcome here, and the car simply disappears. When you’re solving a puzzle, the words «Yes» and «No» appear on the screen. However, you can’t click on them, which will force you to wait a few seconds.
