In case you use an older version of Adobe Lightroom, and want to share your photos online, you can now send RAW images for processing as well. I am glad that Adobe added the APS-C support as well, since amateur photographers like me would already be happy with Lightroom’s fast and advanced RAW converter. But truly diligent photographers would be pleased with the expanded selection and the quality of the digitization of their film images. While not releasing details, I believe that this tool is used to process non-rotated or unoriented film. In lieu of a timer, Lightroom now lets you select a specific scene mode, such as Portrait, Child, Sports, or Sunset. The feature makes retouching easier for amateurs who are used to taking a photo using a timer. If you think that a 10-second exposure is fine, but still wish to remain in Auto mode, you can schedule it for any time, and the system will not show an advancing timer. The exposure indicator now appears as a green, yellow or red cone, and you can accurately see how much time is left before the actual exposure, and compare to your timer settings. Import RAW files now supports V2 of the latest standard. I may have missed it, but I did not see it mentioned in the release notes. Lightroom also has the ability to automatically remove lens distortion and perspective correction before or during importing. It also has the Google Lens integration, an often-quoted advantage of Lightroom. What is particularly surprising is that Google Lens actually works here. As far as I understand, it focuses on EXIF data.

What It Does: The Select tool is used for all of the common actions that you would use in a landscape or architecture editing process. The select tool gives you the ability to select and modify any of the many shapes in your design, or any of the features that are built into the program.
