Trump has said that his doctor, Ronny Jackson, will perform the exam and will issue a preliminary health report.

He has confirmed that he intends to release the report to the public, said CNBC.

Jackson has been Trump’s doctor since before he took office. He is a former doctor at the U.S. Navy and was nominated to be the White House physician by Trump in January 2017.

Jackson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

The president in an interview with ABC on Thursday seemed open to the idea of releasing his health information.

«Anything I do is for the good of the country,” Trump said. “I want the people to know everything I’m going through and how great this country is.»

He said there will not be much of a change in his daily routine, adding that he has “always treated myself.”

The president’s older, unnamed physician is expected to accompany Jackson, and the White House has said that nothing will be off limits during the examination.
