Scalpers are taking advantage of desperate fans by reselling finals tickets for up to five times their original value.

Tier Four tickets for Thursday’s Richmond v Hawthorn game with a retail price of $50 were bringing in bids on  of up to $249.

    The Victorian Government on Monday night threatened to slap the third-party sellers with fines ranging from $806 to $483,500 if they were caught selling tickets for a price inflated by more than 10 percent.

    The AFL tweeted earlier this morning that there will be a last release of tickets for the upcoming Richmond v Hawthorn Qualifying Final, in which a limited number of unsold AFL or members tickets from last week will be available for purchase.

    The tickets will go on sale on the official Ticketek website from 2pm AEST today. 

    Round 1 of the AFL qualifying finals take place towards the end of this week, culminating the Sydney Swans playing the GWS Giants this Saturday at the SCG.
