I use a high grade of motor oil… I have always liked Valvoline. But Quaker State, Pennzoil and other top brands are probably equally good. Stay away from the bargain brands. Quality lubrication is essential to your engine’s longevity. In general you want it to look clear and green on the oil dipstick… when it starts getting dark, it’s time to change it, and when it gets black it’s way overdue.

Another part that should be inspected is the bead and side walls. Beads are the portion of tires that fits the rim of the wheel. Side walls, on the other hand, are literally the side of the tires. The bead, whether new or used, must be undamaged or otherwise, they will not fit the rim properly. When it comes to side walls, refrain from buying we buy any car with deep cuts on this portion. If you are not familiar with these parts, you can ask your mechanic to come with you on the date of purchase.

One must plan to buy tires all four in a group and not in one or two. Many people decide to get just one or two tires instead of getting the set that contains four. Different sets of tires can be dangerous for the vehicle and can lead to spin outs and vehicle controlling issues. Four tires of the vehicle must be of the same brand, size and model.

One of the better options available is the Cooper CS4 Touring tire. These are an all-season tire with excellent traction. With these, you will be able to handle your vehicle in both rain and snow. It is great for dry roads also.

All-season tires on the other hand are tires that can be used in any weather because they perform better. They have good adhesion and prevent the tread from wearing fast. The all-season tires also have a wide temperature operating rage.

I’m not saying this is a common problem but I’m of the opinion if there is a small chance of this then I’d rather pay a little extra money from a well-known tire shop with branded tires.

First off, make sure that you do not spend too little on your tires. Choosing on tires that are cheap, of poor design and build makes driving harder, stopping quite hard especially in emergencies due to poor traction. All tires come with a rating of their traction which ranges from AA, A, B and C. Make sure that you only work with those that come of AA or A traction. Just as there are cheap tires, avoid tires that are too expensive. Work with name brands that have been on the market for some time and from the reviews of other users.

When this happens the tire is either replaced with a new one or the old one is repaired depending on the damage. If the tire is too damaged it is scrapped and sent for recycling.
