This study aimed at investigating the Effect of availability of information resources at Pwani University library on user satisfaction. The study design employed in this study was a field survey using questionnaire. The study sample comprised of study participants. Data was collected and analyzed using Statistical Package Social Sciences version 22 and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The study found that availability of information resources had positive as well as negative impact on user satisfaction. However, availability of information resources has more positive impact as compared to negative impact on the user satisfaction at Pwani University library. The study therefore concluded that the role of information resources in user satisfaction can be both positive and negative, that therefore the users should be given access to a wide range of information resources available at the library. It is suggested that more information resources and facilities should be added to the library to increase the availability of information resources
This study aimed at investigating the Effect of adequacy of information resources on student learning at Pwani University library. The research design employed in this study was mixed methods, probability and non-probability sampling techniques namely purposive and convenience sampling. Random sampling was used for the study. The study sample comprised of nursing students of Pwani University. The population of the study comprised of lecturers, nursing staff, ward ladies and students of nursing at Pwani University. This study used both probability and non-probability sampling techniques namely purposive as well as convenience sampling. The study sample comprised of 201 study participants. Data was collected using questionnaire and interview schedule. Data was analyzed descriptively using Statistical Package Social Sciences version 22 and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The study found that nursing students would benefit from additional information resources and more nursing teaching hours. The study also found that there was lack of information resources on nursing practices.
