Patent attorneys (often known as patent agents) help companies, universities and particular person inventors protect their mental property rights. Intellectual property is any original artistic idea within the form of manufactured gadgets, machines, processes or chemical compounds [source: Dillon]. A patent is a form of authorized protection issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Workplace, part of the U.S. Division of Commerce.

In 1889, Managed I.T.
