FELINE STOMATITIS/LPGS
Feline Stomatitis is also called Lymphocyte Plasmacytic Gingivitis Stomatitis (LPGS). LPGS is a terrible disorder of the dental cavity in a few cats. These cats create an allergic reaction to the plaque around the teeth of theirs. This specific result leads to terrible inflammation in the junction in which the tooth meets the gum line.
CAUSE
The actual cause is unknown. These cats are negative for Feline Leukemia and immunodeficiency Virus and The diet is not a factor. Calici Virus has been discovered but the significance of its is not known. Certain purebreds including Abyssinians, Persians, Himalayans, Burmese, Somali and Siamese are prone.
SYMPTOMS
* Bad breath.
* Difficulty chewing food which is hard (may just eat soft foods).
