i have used a number of programs to find and remove remnants of programs left behind after an uninstall, but your uninstaller is the best i have tried. it will find and identify programs in the system, and will remove them. it will search for items left by programs that are not removed or are not fully removed, so it is very thorough. if you are looking for a program or file that was removed from your system, and you cannot find it, your uninstaller is a safe bet. i would recommend it, but i would not use it for malware removal. it will find and remove that, but it will not remove any traces of that that may be left behind.

reviewer 3: this is a great program for finding and uninstalling programs, including temporary files. i like the fact that it is very quick to scan the computer, and it gives you the option to delete items that it finds. i have not found any problems with the program, and it works very well. i suggest that you install it on your computer, and see if you have any problems.

reviewer 4: (1) it will not uninstall all programs-even some that the windows add/remove applet will remove. (2) it does not remove all traces of programs left behind as it says in its promotional advertisement. (3) many of the traces of programs left behind are not safe to remove and while it does caution you to examine each remnant it finds, this warning should be made much stronger as it finds and lists items which can be central to your computers (and other programs) operation.

i’m hoping that this will work for you too, as i had the same problems. i purchased it for my daughter and i’m hoping that it will just work for her. your uninstaller did not work for me and i had to restore my system. i’d love to know if anyone else has had success with it. i am very disappointed in the lack of information on the website and the limited technical help that is available on the product. i’ve sent a message to their main technical support email and have not received a response. the email i sent was sent on june 4th and i have heard nothing back. i’m hoping that your success will help convince them to improve the technical support.

if you are new to this, you might not know what a screen shot is. unlike a print screen, which is a small picture of your screen, a screen shot is a complete screen of your pc that you can save and send to your friends. to make a screen shot of your pc, press the print screen button that is found on your keyboard. now, it is recommended that you take more than one shot, because there are several things that could appear on your screen. so take multiple screen shots to help ensure that you get a good picture.
i have used avg antivirus as a licensed product on my pc since the day i bought it, and have never once had a problem. it’s an excellent program that does what it advertises (i.e., antivirus). after installing the new your uninstaller, i went to the help section and found a link to avg support. lo and behold, avg support did not have any available time to talk with me, but they did direct me to the support forum for my product. sure enough, the forum has step-by-step instructions on how to uninstall your uninstaller to make the problem go away. unfortunately, these are steps that i did not follow. when i launched the program and went to the help dialog box, it had a warning message which stated that i had not yet installed the avg program and that the registry entry to install it was missing. in the past, when i had used avg, i would have had no trouble at all. but now i would have been better off reinstalling the avg program rather than trying to get rid of your uninstaller in the hope that it might fix things. there is no reason that avg should have any effect on your uninstaller. it has no database or user id or registry key to alter. the program does not communicate with avg in any way, so it should be a simple matter to just disable the avg program and reinstall it. microsoft, please take this as a lesson that you should still work closely with your support team to make sure that support does not make up a default solution, and that you don’t try to guess at problems and then use a default solution which is not acceptable. i am still at the point where i have lost trust in the avg software, and i am ready to start looking at other solutions.
