However, the biggest change to the interface has to be the fact that most of the menu bar is gone and replaced by a toolbar. A big plus is the fact that the Tools panel is now available via the Apple Pencil, and that has been accessible directly when using the pen as well. So, unfortunately, this tool won’t have an effect on photos that have been made using Photoshop tools. This is one area where the iPad Pro graphic design and photo editing app Adobe Sketch could benefit from some improvements. Poorly aware of the nuances of graphic design, the iPad Pro and Adobe Sketch software might not work very well together. For those users who haven’t been affected yet, the Tool panel also brings a number of great changes to Photoshop. The “lens corrections” tool, for instance, has been renamed and will now be also called the “Lens Corrections” tool. There is no longer the “Shape Layers” tool. In its place we have the “Shape layer.” This change leaves the “Layers” menu intact, so nothing feels lost. And yet, the name of the tools has changed and essentially, they are just a slightly different use of the original names. So why not change the name of the “Page” tool too, and not only for the “Shape Layers” tool?

- Trigger your phone’s front-facing camera and Photoshop will crop photos to help you create stunning gallery-ready images.
- Generate photos combining the best parts of two or more images to create a new image.

Photoshop CC 2019 offers three ways to open images:Browse–Open a new project– Open a folder of existing files, or –Browse an export as a web gallery to the side pane of Photoshop. Users can select images in the new experience that are already in their desktop photoshop, or open them from a website. Media files can be automatically imported by browsing to a URL. The legacy driver (GPU LLMV) takes a lot of CPU power to maintain the OpenGL context for various elements of the software, which is then duplicated by the new driver (GPU OpenCL) on modern machines.
Adobe also made a lot of changes to Photoshop’s interface. So while certain features, such as crop, have been moved to the main toolbar, various options are now located within the menus. This makes it a lot easier to access them. Similarly, they’ve repositioned various features so they’re nearer the edge of the screen, making it easier to see them from your typical work environment.
The new single window works much better than the old double window. It’s like having one large editing window, rather than having two small ones. Elements lets you create image documents by grouping images you have in folders; drag and drop uploads from likes of Flickr, YouTube or Google Photos; or add files to your canvas directly on the Mac. This simplifies adding images from the external world into your project.
A new option in the Format & Layout menu has been added that allows you to quickly open your documents in Photoshop Elements. This option, which is currently only available in the main photo tab, allows you to make an initial edit directly in Elements, instead of having to leave elements to do your first edit, then return to Elements to finish the initial edit.
