from terminal 2 you enter the south end of the airport. this end of the airport has the largest structures at mmmx. it has more than enough landmarks to keep you occupied for a long time. first is the terminal 4 arrivals/departures entrance. the entrance is a nice example of a low key entrance that is not overly decorated. also it is interesting to see that the building is similar in size to the terminal building. as you enter the terminal you are greeted with a large open concourse.

im not gonna say the airport looks crowded in the scenery, but its certainly not empty. theres plenty of ground/taxiway details to see and very realistic looking ground textures. overlooking everything is the distance from airport to city. just as with the real world, you have to get in your aircraft and take off to really appreciate how large this airport is.

this is my first trip to mexico so i dont know if its the norm or not, but theres a distinct lack of autogen/objects in this scenery. like i said, theres still a lot of detail in this scenery, but its not as dense as most airport sceneries ive seen. just as with the real world, flying over the airport is a treat. i couldnt have asked for more realism in a scenery. again theres no runway, but i guess that was a deliberate design choice. overall its a very realistic looking scenery and it made my first visit to mexico city a memorable experience.

in order to give you a better idea of what this scenery looks like, ive included some aerial shots of the airport and the surrounding area. as you can see, it really does feel like you are over a large crowded city. take it for what it is, a highly detailed city that features a large scale airport.

This is the biggest airport in Mexico City, I guess in Latin America as a matter of fact. A great example of an airport which is just as much fun to fly as any of the modern airports. Obviously the cost was also not an issue since the total bill came out to almost $100.00 a month. I flew that airport several times so I can vouch for the fact that FSX does in fact manage to fly that airport nicely. Yes, a little more work is required, but not too much. The taxiways link up nicely and its a great airport. Its not perfect, but nothing is. Personally, I believe that the 18/21 December 2006 version of the cabins/terminals work best for MMMX. Its the one with the added arrivals/departures bridges, etc… If you want a somewhat older airport, change the cabins to the 2/4 June 2005 version in the cabins/terminals.
