i just watched the first three dubbed episodes from this series last night, and while i applaud your efforts, especially in the case of the creation brand «wanted» toy, i must say i’m not a fan of the dubbed series of «transformers: the last knight». with the exception of some of the characters, the voices have nothing to do with the source material or the actors as portrayed in the live-action films. as a result, you end up getting a very different feel to the story. in no way have i ruled out the possibility of dubbing the english language version. i don’t want to see bad translations, but at the same time it would mean there was no support for the real actors, and the story would not feel authentic to the original. i’m curious what you thought of the dubbed series, especially the finale, «aftermath». — cybertron forever ( talk ) 17:25, 4 january 2021 (est)

in 1984, earth was a different place. cars changed the landscape. computers changed the way we communicate. jetpacks became a thing. and the world of science fiction became more than just a tv show. it was real. now it’s 2013, and the world has entered an era where machines are our best hope for solving many of the problems that plagues us.

that future may be brighter than we think. but it’s also full of both promise and peril. as humanity searches for a way to control an ever-changing global landscape and a new breed of artificial intelligence awakens, one company races to control that future: takaratomy. with a dizzying array of applications in robotics, medicine, space, the arts and so much more, their goal is to create technology to benefit us all.

we thought we had things under control when our hero, sam witwicky, acquired a powerful, mystical artifact known as the allspark. after a rash of robot-related catastrophes devastated the earth, we thought that the autobots, decepticons, and even, yes, the humans all had a good chance of bringing about a lasting peace. we were wrong: humans and transformers are still at war, and now the fate of the universe rests with a young man who, for all we know, might be a dangerous, foolish, or even amoral magnet for trouble. in the original trilogy, we saw the collision of transformers and humanity as something to be avoided. in transformers: revenge of the fallen, we saw that the coming of the autobots and decepticons could result in the annihilation of the human race. in the last knight, there is no hope that a lasting peace could be achieved through human-on-transformer amity. sam witwicky is now the last knight, and the fate of the universe rests in his hands.
so, now we come to the central question of the film: what does it mean to be a hero? all the movies in the transformers franchise – from the first to this one – put characters of all kinds into tricky situations: optimus prime and his fellow autobots are up against the decepticons; sam, carly, and bumblebee; and, of course, humans. they’re all forced to make difficult choices about what sort of person they want to be, and how they respond to the difficult situations they find themselves in. the first three transformers movies offer some insights into how we might view heroism.
in the first movie, the autobots and decepticons are essentially equals. both sides are fighting for survival, and anything goes. bumblebee is a mechanic; charlie, the human, is a cop. both sides treat each other with respect, although the only «authority» figure on the decepticon side is an evil leader, megatron, who’s a bit of an asshole. in the original transformers, the battle between the autobots and decepticons actually ends with both sides getting what they want, which in the end is not a lasting peace. optimus and the rest of the autobots ended up living on the autobot homeworld, where they lived happy, ever-ambitious lives (and became borderline-cultish).
