The programming software automatically launches a menu based on the radio’s setting. Operating the radio’s control key will immediately cycle through each of these menus to enter the desired programming mode, and then manually program the radio.

Programming mode is a mode in which the radio can be programmed.In this mode, the radio is operated in a free running state. Data is entered and stored in memory according to the program data input through the programming cable. Next, the radio will automatically start to repeat the programming process.

Mode 1: A dedicated memory, that is free memory in the radio’s memory, where the programming program will be stored. Mode 2: Another memory, such as the Non-volatile RAM (NVRAM) in IC-F30, IC-F31, and IC-F41 models. Mode 3: The end of memory cycle, where the programming program will be stored.

Setup: To setup,please refer to the radio’s manual. Typically, you can only use the programming cable to program the radios manufactured before 1999. After the generation of 1999, manual programming cable is required.

Safety Mode: OFF
In this state, the radio will be programed by manual.

On the main screen, by entering the PTT key, you can enter the desired operation mode. Press the control button to enter the Programming Mode. Select the required menu item from the mode screen. This menu can be selected by pressing the control button or by entering it. Save the programming data from menu selection to settings by pressing the Menu Selection key or Enter.
