This is a nice app, even on an iPad Pro! I find that it is a little bit more cumbersome to use once it is set up, however this is not clear in the tutorial. I like that it is straight forward as in the tutorials, and I like how Edit can preview the effect of the selected actions. Examples of cut and paste combined together is a little strange at first, as having the layers/edits in the same size would help understand how the tutorials are set up. Based on other reviews, this is an easy app to use, even if you don’t have any prior experience!

The interface is pleasant for taking a break. I like the ability to make changes to the shape, icon, size, effects, adjustments and color. There seem to be few limitations – but then it is only a beta. It is easy to use and comes with the latest version of PSE and has integrated Lr, as well as the latest plugins. However you still need to start with a new project, before you can move an image into a new project. It seems to have the equivalent import feature as Photoshop. This is a great tool in case you don’t have access to a good tool – and hard to go back. The free trial is not very lengthy.

I find the application a little too big for the iPad screens. You will need to use the keyboard a lot for the most common operations. For example, I can zoom in/out/move a selected object, but I have to use the numeric keys to get this function. Interestingly, you can also select and move objects using a smart finger control, but you can only do this on the iPad Pro. However, you can still use the standard keyboard to move to objects and the instructions say that you can use a keyboard shortcut if you are using the Pro. This keyboard is not as big as the ones that most laptops have, so maybe the graphics are smaller than should be. The same is true with the keys used to change tools and settings. The phone and regular phone keyboard are big enough to cover the keyboard on the iPad Pro. One other minus is that the entry of text from other programs is tricky – I don’t know if there is an easy way to solve this, or if the conversion from other programs is done in a user non-friendly way.
