«The title of this game is a little biased, and the reason for this is because Dark Side of Fate is basically the story of two lovers, Fiona and Lucius, and their love is tested by a variety of twists and turns in the most heart-warming way imaginable. The visual and sound design are pretty good and the only downside is that it is a little short for your average MMO player.

«I rate this game a bit higher because of the fact that the story is well written, the music is decent, and the game takes away enough time from real life to really enjoy it. I would recommend this game to everyone, but, if you are an avid fan of the Fate series, then there are better games to choose from, but this is still a good game that I suggest that you buy and play with an open mind.»

AESTHETIC:The Viewer UI is sleek and functional. Nothing in the interface is overly «innovative».The sound and music is fantastic. The music is tuneful and plays when appropriate. The sound effects are really nice too. Gameplay is not particularly challenging. The voice-overs are often funny, and they aren’t too much of an issue. The sound effects and music are very well done.

SIMPLICITY:The Viewer UI is easy to follow. Having a touch screen makes managing the various game modes and types of challenges easy. Navigation and gameplay are easy to follow. The game seems to be intuitive.

FIGURE FLIGHT:The Viewer UI only gives you so many options. To properly play this game you need to understand what the different roles are, and how they can be used to compose the best possible solution to a situation. It’s obvious that this game is a bit trickier to play, and that makes it harder to understand. The instructions are very clear, however.

EMOTIONAL: I don’t feel that many emotion are on display here, but there is a significant amount.

MOBILITY:The player is required to use the touch screen interface. Players can play this game at a table top, however it’s more challenging to play on a table because of the limited screen real estate. A portable device like an iPad would make the game much more playable, but my only problem with that is there’s really no controller app that i can think of.

MANAGEMENT: I’m having trouble doing some of the key things that I’d like to do. Player inventory can quickly become overwhelming, so I’m constantly having to pause, clear the game out of items, and then re-organize. The player can only use currency, so if I want to buy something I have to save up for it.

STRATEGY:I don’t know what the strategic value of the game is. I don’t know if this game is best played alone, with a partner, or if someone can manage to coordinate with a large group of people. I dont know if there is any challenge, or whether its supposed to be easy to master.

FUN:I don’t really feel like this is «fun.» I don’t particularly like the artwork, but I’m more interested in the actual gameplay. I think the game’s actually entertaining, but that’s not really saying much.
