Tower Simulator is a Java-based game, available at for simulating towers built upon various soft materials.
The game is intended for undergraduate level physics students, who may enjoy spending a few minutes in order to learn something about basic Newtonian physics, or doing research about the behaviour of soft matter.

The player starts in the centre of the game board, and has to launch a rocket vertically, thus breaking the soft material present in the arena, including springs, solids, fluids and the ground.
The player is not allowed to move the rocket sideway.

The game is structured into a series of levels, increasing in difficulty, meaning that the player can use different rockets in each one of them.
Each rocket is controlled by a variable, allowing for simulating the flight time and velocity.
The player has to play against the computer, either against human players or a time limit.

In Tower Simulator there is a tower that can be broken if you are too close to it.
As soon as the tower is broken all the planets go out of sync.
Use the left mouse button to control your way out of the tower.

If the towers gravity is too weak, or the tower is pulled to the side, the tower will be dragged on the side but will fall in the correct direction.

If both the gravity and pull are pulling the tower, the tower will be dragged towards the centre of mass, resulting in a change in direction and leaving the tower in a state of free fall.

«3D Tower Simulator» is an open-source flight simulator game created for educational purposes. It is based on a simple model with which you can learn more about flight dynamics as well as observe detailed simulations of extreme aerodynamic forces.The goal is to achieve the highest altitude by gaining velocity with regard to the ground.

When you start the game, your altitude is set to zero, the camera is in a fixed position and gravity is set to default (so, in this version, a head-to-feet acceleration, that will decrease your altitude). You can configure the parameters above by using the controls on the screen or, by configuring the parameters in the settings file.

You can also set the wind direction with the controls, and the pitch of the plane (which affects your velocity).

You can drag the ground to raise it (or lower it), use the cross to rotate the plane in yaw (roll) or the button to rotate it in pitch.

The Y axis of the «View» panel can be aligned to the roll axis of the plane, and its range can be changed to left, right or center (default).

The three rotations and two views can be configured using the controls panel and then using the controls on screen.

The bottom tool of the «View» panel is used to change the orientation of the camera.

The center tool of the «View» panel is used to re-center the ground scene, which is useful for learning to fly.
